IT Programme Manager required by a global organisation to help them deliver several critical work-streams across the UK and further afield.
You will work closely with the Programme Director and a number of senior stakeholders, acting as the key bridge between the Business and Technology.
A global engineering firm who have been at the forefront of their industry for decades, developing new engineering technology, implementing critical infrastructure and being early adopters of new IT systems/tech.
Although IT isn't their primary function, it is very much at their core. Due to the complexity of the business and their forward-thinking leadership team, IT has become a real differentiator for them over the years. In fact, they were one of the first companies in Europe to use SAP Hana and this has become a key system for them, essentially driving the entire business.
As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for driving projects forward, managing various internal project teams and a key third party partner. You'll also be heavily involved in developing functional roadmaps and business cases, working closely with the Executive team to achieve this.
An important part of the role will be your ability to cost projects, manage budgets and IT governance. To be successful in this role you'll need demonstrable experience of this in a previous role.
You'll be working closely with various other sites, one in mainland Europe, another up North and a couple of their international locations. As a result, you'll have to be open to occasional travel and working in cross-cultural teams.
You'll be a qualified PM / Programme Manager, with previous experience managing and delivering large scale projects for complex organisations. If you happen to have experience working for an engineering firm or within an organisation who have used SAP or a similar ERP, it would certainly be an advantage, but it isn't a pre-requisite.
Salary & Location:
Salary on offer is £60-80k depending on experience, plus a stellar benefits package, which includes 10% pension contribution from the company if you put in 5%; up to 15% bonus depending on company performance and generous holiday allowance.
On top of this, they have a flexible approach to working hours and working from home when needed.
The office is based in the heart of Sutton, a very short walk from the train station and it's kitted out with everything you could possibly need, including a free gym.
This is a cracking opportunity for the right person and the client can move quickly, holding a two stage interview process.
