Oracle Technical Architect required by a large, complex organisation in their Portsmouth office as they continue to work on a challenging project.
Your Experience & The Role:
You'll be a key member of a relatively small, but high calibre team of Oracle professionals working on a complex, fast moving programme of work. Reporting directly into the head of department, you'll also be acting as a mentor for a more junior Consultant.
As one of the leading authorities on all things Oracle in the business, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the product suite.
From a technical point of view, you'll need to come from a tech background as you'll work closely with several third parties and there will be elements of R&D work involved. However, more importantly will be your ability to ensure everything is being delivered as promised, the systems are performant and the correct governance framework is in place.
You will be extremely comfortable dealing with C-Level stakeholders, but equally with people on the ground, delivering this programme of work.
Essentially your main role is going to be bridging the gap between both the in-house & external teams and the overall business, ensuring all the systems you support as available at all times and working as they should be.
From a technical point of view, it is likely you'll be comfortable with and have demonstrable experience of most of the following:
** Oracle Fusion / Oracle Fusion Middleware
** Oracle WebLogic Server
** Service Management - ITIL, Incident Management, Change Management
** Vendor Management
** Technical Leadership - with the ability to stay calm under pressure
** Service Improvement / Stakeholder Management / Mentoring
Due to the current project work, any experience of the Oracle Utilities Application Framework would be highly advantageous, however, definitely isn't essential.
A real power-house in the UK, with office locations around the country and a strong team of technical professionals, delivering critical projects that will impact pretty much the whole of the UK.
You'll be joining a company obsessed with their customers and have put a real emphasis on putting them first.
Salary / Package:
The salary on offer for this role is between £40-60k depending on experience, plus a generous benefits package, which includes:
** Share Plan/Options
** Training / Personal Development Plan
** Generous Pension
** Above average holiday allowance
** Flexible Working - many of the current team do one day a week from home, but depending on your location they can offer more flexibility as they are more interested in getting the right people
