Invoicing Operations Associate
Leading Asset Manager - London

Purpose of Role
To provide functional, analytical and solution driven support for the outsourced invoicing process within the Finance function. Ensuring a balance of both timeliness and accuracy to deliver an exceptional service to our key stakeholders.
Individual responsibilities and duties include:
This role is focused on the review, oversight and approval of revenue calculations (within invoices) produced by our outsourced provider. The invoicing process is fundamental to everything that the organisation does and is a great opportunity for someone to immerse themselves in how the company works and to learn about the asset management industry. The individual will get exposure to all of the clients' products, they will need to understand the fees with each product, how these are calculated and why they differ. The role has a high degree of interaction with the Client Solutions team.
Due to the bespoke nature of the financial solutions, many of the revenue calculations are complex and the leading Asset Manager has created the Invoicing Team to validate that the complex revenue calculations are correct, providing oversight and support to the outsourced provider.

1. Develop understanding of the fees and gain exposure to complex financial products
o Review IMAs, fee templates and fee schedules
o Ensure any interpretation of fees and products is aligned with IMAs
2. Invoice process management
o Track individual invoice progress
o Manage invoice workflow through internal streams and outsourced provider
o Manage multiple invoices at different stages of review
3. Relationship management
o Build strong relationships with Client Services and Client Directors
o Build working relationship with outsourced provider and challenge them to deliver to deliver a high performance
o Track individual invoice progress and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed
4. Client Fee Calculation process
o Interpret IMA's (Investment Management Agreement) to produce revenue calculation models for our outsourced provider
o Collaborate with and challenge Client Services and Client Directors on fee structures and product implementation
o Validate Custodian Portfolio values, including reconciliation of client holdings.
5. Performance tracking
o Monitor outsourced provider KPIs
o Track errors and issues within the invoicing process
o Suggest areas for improvement
6. Support the revenue calculation review and approval process
o Review complex fee calculations produced by outsourced provider within invoices
o Respond to queries from outsourced provider
o Ensure high priority invoices are dispatched in a timely manner
o Promptly investigate and resolve any data issues
7. Strategic process:
o Participate in strategic review of invoicing process
8. Assist in ad hoc requests from the business
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem solving skills
- Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups etc)
- Attention to detail
- Would suit someone who is organised by nature
- Ideally experience in a Financial Services operational function.
- Ideally experience of more than 1 year in Financial Services with knowledge of financial products.
- Someone who embraces change and constantly looks to drive process improvements.

- Good communication skills (oral and written)
