Software Developer

  • Location: Edinburgh
  • Salary: £30,000 to £45,000
  • Type: Permanent
  • Posted: 30 days ago
  • Company: Cathcart Associates

Software Developer - join a growing consultancy/digital agency who also develop their own in-house products. They are experiencing a period of growth; their existing clients are keeping them busy and there's also new clients and projects kicking off!

They know that technology plays a big role in any company's success - which is why they want to help their clients to get it right.

Their core technology stack is built around the .NET stack, but you will be working on bespoke products for a range of clients (who may have different technology stacks) so you need to be flexible and up for learning new things. The role involves working closely with clients and so it is important that you have strong written and verbal communication skills.

There's career progression on offer and opportunities to take on more responsibility as the team grows/progress into a Lead Developer role (if that's appealing to you). If you're comfortable at present with mentoring other Developers, this would certainly be a bonus.

They're very flexible and there's no micro-management. It's up to you to manage your time. The team will be working remotely for the rest of 2020 and beyond that they will be flexible - so this role could suit someone based anywhere in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Fife or the Central Belt.

They also offer "10% time" meaning that you can spend a portion of your working week on side projects, upskilling or training in new technologies. The salary on offer is £30,000-45,000 (+ 10% annual bonus).

You don't need to be an expert with everything, but you'll be working with the following:

*C#/.NET Core and SQL Server.

*Entity Framework.

*JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.

*Web APIs.

Bonus skills:

*Experience with React/other modern JavaScript frameworks.

*Mobile development experience (React Native, Xamarin or other!).

*Unit Testing and CI/CD.

If you are interested in joining this friendly team, please apply and/or get in touch with Rhona Kennedy at Catchart Associates.
