Quality Technician

Opportunity for a quality technician to work for a global organisation with a Blue-Chip customer base who are continuing to grow within their marketplace. The company has multiple sites around the world and has been experiencing an exceptional financial performance in recent years.

As the quality technician, you will work as part of a team that is responsible for the quality control of the company products undertaking both hands-on physical testing of products. You will also be given the opportunity to develop skills and receive training to carry out basic laboratory/scientific quality control duties.

Quality technician duties will include:

  • Performing QC testing on various components to ensure product quality using calipers, gauges and laboratory-based analysis
  • Ensure all incoming materials are clean and suitable for use
  • Liaising with internal staff/suppliers on quality issues
  • Assisting with product quality issues
  • Performing routine spot checks in production to look at product quality
  • Performing 5S audits and contributing towards LEAN/Continuous Improvement projects

To apply for the quality technician position, you will need:

  • Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience of working in a role related to product quality or inspection of finished parts/raw materials
  • Experience of working with plastic injection moulded parts is highly desirable
  • A technical/engineering qualification is desirable

In return, the quality technician will receive a salary of £20,000 - £25,000 (dependent on experience) + pension, etc.
